Studies have shown that looking at your mobile phone, tablet, TV or laptop screen right before bed actually affects your ability to sleep,” say health care providers at Providence. “This is because our bodies are programmed to respond to light as a time for wakefulness, not sleep. So switch off at least 30 minutes before you go to sleep.”
