Alan Jackson Is a ‘Dream Father’! Get to Know the Country Music Icon’s 3 Adult Daughters

Alan’s first child was born on June 19, 1990. Though she didn’t pave a country music career like her dad, Mattie became a successful lady upon graduating from the University of Tennessee in 2012. As her Instagram bio reads, she’s the host of the podcast “She’s in the City,” and she also runs a blog with the same name. More impressively, Mattie cofounded an organization called NaSHEville, which aims to “celebrate sisterhood and give back to orphans, widows & trafficked women,” per Instagram.

In terms of her personal life, Mattie said “I do” to her husband, Samuel “Ben” Selecman, in October 2017, and the two were married for nearly a year. Tragically, the assistant District Attorney in Tennessee died in September 2018 after suffering a traumatic brain injury sustained from falling off a boat dock, the Miami Herald reported.

Mattie often shares sweet memories of her late spouse on Instagram, including one she uploaded for their third wedding anniversary in October 2020. “This cowboy is still my best friend, will always have my heart and three years ago today remains the best day of my life. I’d do it over again a thousand times knowing how it would end,” she penned.

After her first husband’s death, Mattie found happiness again when she married Connor Smith in 2023. Her dad approved, as he posted about the wedding on Instagram with the caption, “Denise and I are so happy to officially welcome Connor into our family! Wishing [Mattie] and Connor Smith a lifetime of happiness…Livin’ on love!”

Alexandra “Ali” Jane Jackson

Alan became a dad of two when Ali was born on August 23, 1993. Unlike Mattie, Ali lives the majority of her life out of the spotlight. Aside from making a few rare tributes for her dad on her now-private social media pages in the past, Ali has been featured on her sister’s accounts a few times.

When Ali married her husband, Sam Bradshaw, in July 2018, Mattie gave a glimpse inside the special day by sharing photos from the ceremony. “This beautiful woman went from ‘Miss’ to ‘Mrs.’ a few weeks ago,” the proud sister wrote. “I truly cannot imagine anyone being a more stunning bride than @alijbradshaw. It was a joy, honor and quite the party standing next to you. @sambradshaw731, welcome to the family. Love you both so much!”

More recently, Ali was seen in a family snapshot on Mattie’s page in April 2021. Alan, Denise and their three girls smiled for the heartwarming pic, while Mattie wrote in the caption, “And on Mondays, we wear blue … I am sure grateful for my amazing family!”

In December 2022, Ali had a baby boy named Jack, giving Alan his first grandchild. “So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents!” he gushed on Twitter.

Dani Grace Jackson

The youngest of the singer’s daughters was born on August 28, 1997. Similar to Ali, Dani lives most of her life out of the public eye, so there isn’t too much information available. Her Instagram account is also private, though it appears she has zero posts.

Fortunately, Dani has appeared on Mattie’s Instagram several times. When Mattie celebrated her little sister’s birthday in 2020, she uploaded a few pictures of the sibling duo and wrote, “Happy 23rd birthday to my baby sister! I have truly never known someone with such a tender, loving heart. You are more beautiful in more ways than you know, and I am so grateful to be your sister and friend. Love you, Little Dan.”

Despite not knowing too much about Dani, it appears Alan and his wife did an incredible job raising their girls!
