Amy Poehler is getting candid about her childhood!
In a new interview, the 44-year-old actress confessed growing up in the 1980s was a “really tough time.”
“I was a late bloomer which I would recommend to anybody. That’s a tough thing when you get most popular, it’s all down hill from there,” Amy joked during an appearance on Today on Thursday, Dec. 10.

During the sit-down, the Saturday Night Live alumna also opened up about recently receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “It was great… my parents were there, my family was there. It’s something I never even imagined,” she said of the honor.

“I’d never even been to California growing up. I never knew anyone who was an actor or a writer,” Amy continued. “I didn’t know anybody famous so to be included in that fine company… it was really special.”
