First-Time Dad Andy Cohen Is Reportedly a ‘Nervous Wreck’ After Welcoming Baby Benjamin
Don’t worry, Andy Cohen, you’ll get the hang of things! According to a new report, the 50-year-old first-time dad is a “nervous wreck” after welcoming baby boy Benjamin Allen Cohen via surrogate earlier this week.
“Andy hasn’t slept a wink, because he said he doesn’t want to miss anything,” a source close to the Bravo star told Radar Online, adding that the new dad is thankfully getting some help from his family. “He has his mother Evelyn with him, and his sister Emily as well.” All new parents experience a lack of sleep and Andy’s experience has been no different. When the TV star took to Instagram on Wednesday, February 6 to share a sweet post about his longtime friend Bruce Bozzi meeting Benjamin, he finished his caption with, “P.S. I’M SO OUT OF IT I THOUGHT IT WAS [THURSDAY].”
Despite some sleepless nights, the source close to Andy told Radar that he’s loving every minute of being a new dad to baby Benjamin. “When he first held his son, he broke down crying hysterically and still can’t believe that this came true,” the insider revealed. He’s so content that he’s reportedly told his pals that he’s done dating after splitting from longtime love Clifton Dassuncao in March 2018. “He told one of his friends that he will never need a man again. because he now has the love of his life,” the source added.
Andy previously announced the birth of his first child via Instagram on Monday, February 4. “WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is 9 lbs, 2 ounces!! 20 inches!! Born at 6:35 pm PT. He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow,” the Watch What Happens Live star captioned a sweet black and white photo of himself holding baby Benjamin after his arrival.
