Annette Bening’s look at this year’s Academy Awards did not disappoint! The Best Actress nominee wore an elegant ensemble while walking the red carpet at the 2024 Oscars.

Annette, 65, paired a sparkling navy jumpsuit with a sheer robe. She added a pop of color with coral lipstick and had fierce glasses on to complete the look.

Annette earned a nomination for Nyad, the acclaimed biographical sports drama costarring Jodie Foster.

Always Up for a Challenge

Ahead of the ceremony, she admitted that this was one of her toughest roles yet.

“Certainly Nyad was up there,” she told Deadline in an interview published on February 23. “I’ve done a lot of things that were really tough for me. That’s a wonderful thing to be able to say. Challenging is such an important thing, whatever we do, that’s how we grow.”

Annette looked glam in her glittering jumpsuit, which she paired with a sheer robe that had a floral design down the front. Her short hair was swept to one side and glasses completed the look.

High Stakes

The Golden Globe winner admitted that she was feeling a lot of nerves ahead of the Oscars.

“It is exciting and nerve-wracking,” she told Savannah Guthrie on Today. “It’s funny you just asked me this, so one time when I was nominated I was extremely pregnant. I was just about to give birth, and I know how many years ago it was because that’s my almost 24-year-old.”
