Ava DuVernay Opens up About Directing Oprah Winfrey in ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ (EXCLUSIVE)
In an interview with Closer Weekly, A Wrinkle in Time‘s Ava DuVernay talks about what it was like directing the most powerful TV queen, Oprah Winfrey
“It was easy,” Ava told Closer. “She’s a nice lady.”
“She’d say, ‘Ava, what should I do?’ so I’d answer her: ‘Stand over there. Put on this wig.’ She did everything I asked!” the 45-year-old tells Closer, adding that Oprah loved playing dress-up for the role. “She had a smile every day,” Ava says.
