Ben Affleck and Ex-Wife Jennifer Garner Reunite at Thanksgiving Event in Los Angeles
Thanksgiving day was quite the reunion for exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. The pair were spotted together in Los Angeles while volunteering with Midnight Mission to help feed the homeless for the holiday.
Ben, 52, and Jennifer, 52, posed for a photo together during the event, which was featured on the organization’s Instagram page on Thursday, November 28.
“Today, we were honored to have Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner join us at The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving! Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community,” the caption of the post said. “Thank you, Ben and Jennifer, for serving meals and sharing smiles on this special day. Your compassion reminds us all of the true meaning of Thanksgiving — coming together to support one another.”
Dancing With the Stars’ Sasha Farber and Jenn Tran were also in attendance, posing for photos with Ben and Jennifer during the event. Sasha, 40, shared a montage of photos and videos from the day on his Instagram account.
“Happy thanks giving everyone, woke up in the morning, and wanted to give back, The organization called the Midnight Mission, has been doing wonderful things for the homeless in Los Angeles , so happy we could visit and help and feed the homeless this thanksgiving ! @themidnightmission @jenntran @edwardgelhaus @jennifer.garner,” he captioned his post.
“Fun serving with you, Happy Thanksgiving! X,” Jennifer wrote in a comment underneath the post.
According to Midnight Mission’s website, each year, the group “hosts a celebration for thousands of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Skid Row. The street fair includes a holiday meal and live entertainment. The event draws thousands of people from the Los Angeles community and allows individuals and businesses to contribute to a meaningful cause.”
The Batman actor and the Family Switch actress, who were officially divorced in 2018, coparent their three kids, Violet, Fin and Samuel. Ben is currently in the middle of his divorce from his second wife, Jennifer Lopez, who filed for divorce on August 20. Amid the divorce, he’s been leaning on Jennifer for support.
“Jen’s been wonderful. She doesn’t judge,” a source told In Touch in June of Ben’s bond with his first wife. “Sure, Ben drives her crazy sometimes, but there’s an unbreakable bond there. Ben says Jen’s an angel and tells her she’s the only one who can save him.”
“He’s given Jen the code to his house so she can come right in,” the source added. “Other people have to be buzzed in, but not Jen. She can come and go whenever she wants.”
Amid her divorce from Ben, J. Lo shared a festive message on Thanksgiving on Instagram, posing for a photo in front of a delicious-looking turkey.
“I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving,” she captioned the post. “I am so incredibly grateful for all of you.”
Just recently, J. Lo opened up about her holiday plans after a difficult year.
“It was a pretty intense year for me and I’m most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast,” the “On the Floor” singer told People in an interview published on November 5. “The holidays are such a special time for us and they’ve always been since I was a little girl. And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories.”
