James Middleton Just Might Be the Most ~Mysterious~ Member of Kate Middleton’s Family — Find out Why!
We’re all very familiar with Kate Middleton (and even her younger sister, Pippa), but there’s another Middleton sibling who is often overlooked — and his name is James. In case you’re unfamiliar with the Duchess of Cambridge’s little brother, Closer Weekly rounded up a few facts about the handsome 30-year-old Brit.
He’s a college dropout.
James cut his college career short when he was just 20. He previously told The Telegraph that he decided to leave Edinburgh University to start his own business, the Cake Kit Company. “Within a few weeks, I knew it wasn’t where I wanted to be,” he said. “I was always looking for business ideas.”

He’s a marshmallow mogul!
While his entrepreneurial cake endeavor ended in 2015, James has since launched another sweets-inspired business — Boomf Marshmallows, a company that allows customers to personalize marshmallows for special occasions.
In a 2014 interview with Brides, James revealed that both Kate and Pippa gave his fluffy snacks their seal of approval. “They are incredibly supportive and are always intrigued by what I come up with. My family is usually the first guinea pigs to try out my new recipes,” he said. “The marshmallows got the thumbs up from the first batch so I was pretty happy with that.”

He has a famous on-and-off girlfriend.

Though they’ve broken up several times before, James’ relationship with TV presenter and actress Donna Air seems stronger than ever. The pair looked so in love this past May at Pippa’s wedding to James Matthews.
In November 2016, James opened up about his romance with Donna, 38, and the special connection he shares with her 14-year-old daughter, Freya, from a previous relationship. “I love Donna very much and Freya is very much part of Donna, and I love them both equally. It’s not ‘Donna’ and ‘Oh, she has a child,’” he told The Daily Mail. “That’s not how I’ve ever seen it. Marriage is absolutely not something I’m scared of [but it] isn’t necessarily the be all and end all.”
He used to be roommates with Pippa.

James used to live in London’s trendy Chelsea neighborhood in a flat with Pippa, a party planner named Ella, and his black Cocker Spaniel puppy. According to The Telegraph, James’ parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, purchased the apartment for £780,000 in 2002.
He’s very protective of Kate.
When Kate started dating Prince William (and attracting the attention of the media) while attending St. Andrews University in the early 2000s, James was very sensitive to any articles written about his older sibling.
“I used to be first up in the morning to make sure I could get to the papers and rip out any stories about my sister,” he told The Daily Mail, “so nobody would see them and there would be no conversations about them.”
