Carrie Underwood Isn’t Rushing to Lose Her Post-Baby Weight: ‘She’s Enjoying Her Time at Home With the Boys’ (Report)

Since welcoming her second child, Jacob Bryan Fisher, on January 21, Carrie Underwood has had a much slower approach at getting back into her daily routine — especially when it comes to getting her post-baby body back in shape! Even though the “Love Wins” singer has always had an enviable figure, a source close to the star revealed that Carrie isn’t ready to hit the gym just yet.

“Carrie is enjoying her time at home with the boys so much,” the insider recently dished to Life & Style. “She loves just nesting and focusing on her family. She’s in no rush to get back into work mode or spend hours working out.” Carrie, 35, has always been obsessed with fitness and staying healthy, “but naturally she gained weight with her pregnancy and hasn’t been rushing to lose it,” the source continued. “The old Carrie would’ve made losing weight a priority but she just doesn’t care as much this time around.”

Her Hollywood hiatus is coming to an end soon, though, considering the mom-of-two will be returning to the spotlight in just a few weeks. “Carrie is set to make her first post-baby public appearance next month and she is starting to feel the pressure to lose the baby weight,” the insider shared. “She has rehearsals and fittings for her tour coming up and knows that she will have to start focusing on work again.”

The source added, “She’s really enjoying this downtime and is starting to realize how hard it will be to get back to work so soon.” Don’t worry, girl — you got this!

We don’t really blame Carrie — who shares her two sons, baby Jacob and Isaiah Fisher, 4, with hubby Mike Fisher — for wanting to relax at home with her boys. After a tumultuous pregnancy journey over the last few years which sadly included three miscarriages, Carrie and Mike, 38, have been basking in the glory of baby No. 2.

Carrie can’t believe how blessed she is. This is a great time for Carrie and Mike, and they’re going to cherish every single moment,” a source close to the couple exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly around the time of Jacob’s birth. We’re glad to see that the “Before He Cheats” singer is focusing on her family and not sweating the small stuff.
