It's a Boy!Carrie Underwood Welcomes Baby No. 2 With Husband Mike Fisher
Congratulations are in order for Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher — they’re officially parents-of-two! The 35-year-old country music star announced the birth of the couple’s second son, Jacob Bryan Fisher, via Instagram on Wednesday, January 23. The couple, who tied the knot July 2010, are already parents to a 3-year-old son, Isaiah Michael Fisher.
“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday, [January 21] … his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle! Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…” Carrie captioned the first photos of baby Jacob. Check out Carrie’s baby announcement below!
Carrie and Mike, 38, previously revealed in August 2018 that they were expecting their second child. “Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond. This has just been a dream come true with [the] album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited,” she said at the time.
Soon after announcing the news, the “Jesus Take The Wheel” singer revealed that her second pregnancy was “different” than her first. “It’s definitely different than the first time,” Carrie previously told Entertainment Tonight. “When they say every pregnancy is different, it really is. Just different symptoms. I feel like this one is just a little harder on my body for some reason. But it’s been really good.”
She even gushed that their toddler son has been anxiously waiting to become a big brother. “I mean, he’ll be really sweet — he’ll talk to my belly and kiss my belly. He’s the sweetest little boy. But I mean, no kid can really know that their life is going to change. He’ll just have to share mommy,” she explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Carrie also joked that Isaiah has one stipulation with his baby bro. “He says he won’t change any poopy diapers,” Carrie admitted to ET. “I understand, maybe I can change his mind.”
Carrie was forced to reveal the gender of baby No. 2 while cohosting the CMA’s with Brad Paisley in November 2018. After the show, she gushed to Taste of Country about having another boy after sadly suffering three miscarriages. “We were just so excited. It took us a while to get here, and we were just feeling so blessed.”
