Celine Dion Shares Rare Photo of Her Twin Boys — See How Much They’ve Grown!

They grow up so fast! Celine Dion took to Instagram on Monday, Oct. 23, to celebrate the seventh birthday of her twin sons, Eddy and Nelson, whom she shared with her late husband, René Angélil. To see how much the Canadian superstar’s adorable kids have grown, check out the video below!

“Can’t believe you are already 7 years old… Time flies! Happy birthday, my loves!” Celine, 49 — who is also mom of son René-Charles, 16 — wrote alongside the sweet snap. “I’m so proud of all of my boys! Mom xx…” This is the second consecutive birthday of Eddy and Nelson’s that Celine has marked without their father by her side.

As previously reported, René died at age 73 in January 2016 after battling throat cancer. During an emotional December 2016 interview with Page Six, the mom-of-three opened up about how special occasions — particularly, the holidays — feel “bittersweet” without René. Still, the Grammy winner told the publication that she has made a concerted effort to stay strong for her kids in the wake of their dad’s sad passing.

“I cannot just live on like, ‘I lost my husband, my children have no father,’” she said at the time. “I have to stand tall and strong because this is my way of living: Stand tall, be positive, pick your battles, do the best you can and to live for today, not for tomorrow, for today, and know nothing is perfect, not everything you want will happen.”

Celine has even kept up the tradition of taking her family to spend Christmastime in Montana, where René used to love skiing with his sons. According to the pop icon, she and her children feel his presence every time they take the slopes. “He put something magic into that snow, into those mountains, and every time we go down, I go down with him,” she said. “My children go down thinking about him. Every time I take the lift to go up, I feel closer to him.”
