Christopher Reeve's Children Attend Charity Gala Held in Honor of Their Late Father - Closer Weekly

Their dad would be so proud.

Christoper Reeve‘s three children, William, Alexandra and Matthew Reeve, attended a charity gala to honor their father his and second wife, Dana Reeve, in New York City on Thursday, Nov. 20.

During the annual event — which supports the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and raises money for research into spinal cord injuries — the siblings walked the red carpet before welcoming esteemed guests including Meredith Vieira and Alexa Ray Joel to the gala.

Matthew, 35, and Alexandra, 22, are the ‘Superman’ star’s kids with former partner Gae Exton. William, 22, is the actor’s only child from his 12-year marriage to Dana.

Christopher and Dana established the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation after the 1995 horse riding accident that paralyzed the star. Matthew and Alexandra now serve on the board of directors for the foundation.

Christopher sadly passed away at age 52 after going into cardiac arrest on Oct. 10, 2004. His wife, Dana, died at age 44 in March 2006 after a seven-month battle with lung cancer.
