Courteney first rose to fame in the early-1980s by appearing in a music video for Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark."

In 1985, Courteney landed a starring role in the short-lived TV series Misfits of Science.

By the early 90s, Courteney had appeared in several movies and in 1994, landed her life-changing role as Monica Geller on Friends!

In addition to starring on Friends, Courteney also appeared as journalist Gale Weathers in three Scream movies in the late 1990s. In June 1999, the actress married David Arquette.

2003

The early 2000s brought more film roles for Courteney, including 3000 Miles to Graceland, The Shrink Is In, and November. She also welcomed her daughter, Coco Arquette, in June 2004.

By the mid-2000s, Friends had sadly wrapped and Courteney was again focusing on movies — she starred in Barnyard, Zoom, and The Tripper in 2006!

Two years later, the mom-of-one starred in 20 episodes of the TV series Dirt and appeared in flicks The Monday Before Thanksgiving and Bedtime Stories.
