Cynthia Nixon Shows Off Kitchen in Montauk Home and Fans Praise How ‘Relatable’ She Is

Cynthia Nixon opened the doors of her Montauk, New York, home in a recent video, giving fans a look at her warm and inviting space. The Sex and the City actress was praised for being “relatable” after showing off her cozy kitchen.

The video, which was shared on Instagram on Tuesday, May 6, featured the star first showing off some of her cookware during a tour of her kitchen. She wore an orange apron and a purple T-shirt with a printed skirt in the clip.

“This is my kitchen in Montauk. I’m about to serve up some coffee. These are my pots and pans and my colanders,” she said, pointing to the hanging cookware above her oven.

Behind her, brown wooden cabinets could be seen, along with a countertop that had a rice cooker, a toaster, a blender and a dish rack with a pile of drying dishes. The wall behind the sink featured a brown and white tiled backsplash.

“This is my basket that I get stuff from the garden,” Cynthia, 59, noted as she picked up a blue basket. “This is some kale that just came out of the garden. It’s very delicious and very fresh.”

The basket was hung back up on a hook that was attached to a window, which looked out into the garden. Along the windowsill, there were several jars and vases.

“This is all my vases because there are a lot of flowers in the garden,” she said, pointing to her collection that rests on top of her cabinets. “And there’s a lobster pot and there’s a basket that you know, I put bread or biscuits or toast in.”

She also had some kale that was growing seeds sitting in a cup on her counter. In the background, yellow walls were seen, as well as a mop and a broom. Cynthia held up a jar, showing off some garlic oil before lifting up her water bottle and revealing that she was drinking lemon mint water.

After showing folks around her kitchen, Cynthia poured herself a cup of coffee from her Italian coffee maker and added some foam from a pot with a dash of cinnamon on top.

Many took to the comments to say how “normal” Cynthia’s kitchen looked despite her celebrity status.

“Finally, a celebrity kitchen that looks like someone uses it!” one person commented underneath the video.

“A Montauk kitchen that looks like a relatable person lives there!” another said.

“A breath of fresh air to see a kitchen that’s not all clean lines & the size of a football pitch, it’s an actual kitchen with utensils that get used,” someone else penned.

“Love how she is like everyone else,” a fourth person echoed.

“Such a down to earth kitchen, love it,” another fan commented.

Cynthia, who is married to Christine Marinoni, previously opened up about her colorful and comfy Montauk home in an interview with Christina Ohly Evans.

“An object I would never part with is a corner cupboard that my mother bought for my grandmother,” she said in December 2024. “After we bought our house in Montauk, I finally had a place for it and it’s full of dishes, teapots and all kinds of ceramics.”
