CONGRATS!‘Dancing with the Stars’ Pro Derek Hough to Star on Broadway in ‘Singin’ In the Rain’
Derek Hough has an exciting new gig!
The 30-year-old Dancing with the Stars pro will star in the upcoming Broadway production of Singin’ In the Rain, the musical’s producer, Harvey Weinstein, announced on Saturday, Feb. 27, according to E! News.

In the show — set to open in January 2017 — Derek will portray lead character Don Lockwood, a role previously made famous by Gene Kelly in the 1952 film version of Singin’ In the Rain.

The original stage adaptation of Singin‘ opened on Broadway in 1983 and ran for about a year before closing. Derek previously made his Broadway debut in January 2010 in Burn the Floor alongside his DWTS costar Kym Johnson.
