Though Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are no longer together, they will always show support for one another. The amicable exes reunited at the premiere of his new Broadway show, I Need That, which also stars their eldest daughter, Lucy DeVito.

“Danny and I, we are still married,” Rhea, 75, previously explained during a May 2023 episode of Lemonada Media‘s “Wiser Than Me” podcast with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. “And we are still very good friends, and we see each other a lot. And our family is still the most important thing to both of us.”

Inside Their Family Dynamic

The former couple have separated twice over the past four decades but have never gotten legally divorced.

“I’m not getting divorced,” Rhea said during a May 2019 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “That’s not in the picture, no, no, no. Not happening … What for? We do live separately. We see each other a lot, too.”

A New Chapter

Just recently, the family expanded with the arrival of their first grandchild.

“It’s amazing,” the Barbie actress gushed. “Everybody said it’ll change your life when you have a grandchild, and it does.”
