Daryl Hannah and Neil Young Are Reportedly Married — Get the Details On Their Two Secret Ceremonies!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Young! Actress Daryl Hannah and singer Neil Young are married, according to multiple reports published this week. Daryl, 57, and Neil, 72, became an item in 2014 and allegedly tied the knot in two secret ceremonies within the last month. The first reportedly took place on his yacht in Washington State and the second was reportedly held either last Friday, Aug. 24 or Saturday, Aug. 25 in California. 

During an interview with People, Ron Fugere, a local boat captain in the San Juan islands, revealed that he witnessed a “small, intimate gathering” on Neil’s yacht on July 27. 

“I saw a boat down at the end of the dock that I hadn’t recognized from a distance so I thought I’d walk down and see what boat it was,” Fugere told the magazine. “[I] thought, ‘Gosh, that looks like a wedding!’ We got out the binoculars and looked and sure enough, it looked like a wedding going on.”

“All we could really see was the officiant and the couple because we were some distance away. They threw some flower petals and wrapped it up. Shortly after the sunset, then, of course, the blood moon rose. It’s kind of an exciting time,” Fugere added. 

Page Six has also reported that Daryl and Neil exchanged vows in front of about 100 guests — including Joni Mitchell and Stephen Stills — during their earlier wedding ceremony in San Luis Obispo, CA. Though the couple has yet to confirm their secret marriage, several people have posted well-wishes to Daryl and Neil on social media. 

“Congratulations to Daryl Hannah and Neil Young on their wedding today. May they have a long and happy relationship,” guitarist Mark Miller wrote on Facebook. And when Daryl posted a photo of an owl with the cryptic message, “Someone’s watching over us… love [and] only love,” on Instagram last week, actress Patricia Arquette commented, “You are the whisperer to all the animals… birds and bees follow you and protect you. What a beautiful time of love and magic.”

Daryl’s marriage to Neil is her first, though she was previously in long-term relationships with both John F. Kennedy Jr. and musician Jackson Browne. Neil has been hitched two times in the past. First to restaurant owner Susan Acevedo from 1968 until 1970 and then to singer-songwriter Pegi Young from 1978 to 2014. The “Heart of Gold” singer is a father to two adult children — son Ben Young, 40, and daughter Amber Jean Young, 34 — with second wife Pegi and a 45-year-old son, Zeke Young, from a previous relationship with acress Carrie Snodgress. 

Though Daryl and Neil have rarely spoken out about their romance, the singer once told Yahoo!, “We’re very lucky to have found each other. I’m eternally thankful for the opportunity to share my life with her, and she feels the same.” Congrats to the happy couple on their marriage!
