“Hi all. Just wanted to thank you for the incredibly kind words and thoughts. I’ll be easing my way back into Twitter," Duncan, 44, wrote alongside a drawing of several hands giving a thumbs-up with the text "everything is good" on the micro-blogging site on Saturday, Jan. 23.

The filmmaker previously confirmed David's passing on Twitter with a touching throwback photo of himself with his famous dad. "Very sorry and sad to say it's true. I'll be offline for a while. Love to all," he wrote alongside the black and white image.

The "Space Oddity" singer sadly died at age 69 on Monday, Jan. 11 after an 18-month battle with cancer. David is survived by Duncan — his only child from his first marriage to Angie Bowie — his current wife, Iman, and their daughter, Alexandria "Lexi" Zahra Jones.
