David Hasselhoff’s Ex-Wife Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff Dead by Reported Suicide at Age 62: ‘Deeply Saddened’

David Hasselhoff‘s ex-wife Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff has died, Closer can confirm. She was 62 years old.

According to online records viewed by Closer, an autopsy is scheduled.

TMZ reported that the Baywatch actress died by suicide at her home. Law enforcement officials told the outlet that Pamela’s family members grew concerned after not hearing from her. She was found dead at the home on Wednesday, March 5, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the outlet reported.

David, 72, spoke out in a statement shared with the outlet after news of his ex-wife’s death.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” he said. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

David and Pamela were married from 1989 to 2006. They first met on the set of Knight Rider when she appeared as a guest star on the show. They welcomed two children together, daughters Taylor and Hayley Hasselhoff, during their marriage.

“I’ve always loved him and always will, and have love and compassion for him,” Pamela told The Associated Press about her ex-husband after finalizing their divorce. “It’s a very, very sad day, but a day to move on.”

In Pamela’s last post on social media, she reflected on welcoming a new member into the family, granddaughter London, who was born to Taylor and her husband, Madison Fiore, in August 2024.

“Happy New Year, everyone! As we step into 2025, my heart is full of gratitude, especially for my precious grandbaby, London. Watching her grow and seeing her smile light up my world is truly the greatest blessing,” she captioned a December 31, 2024, video. “My wish for all of you this year is health, happiness, and an abundance of love. May 2025 be filled with beautiful moments, laughter, and all the blessings your hearts can hold. Here’s to a year of making cherished memories, spreading joy, and embracing every precious moment!”

Weeks before her death, Pamela left a comment on an Instagram post on Taylor’s account to celebrate London turning 6 months old. “Happy birthday to the heart of our family!! We love you so much Londy girl. 6 months loving you & a beautiful lifetime to go :)” the caption of the post said.

“Happy 6 month Birthday to my precious, sweetest and beautiful Granddaughter – London who has my whole heart and lights up our life with her magic- Gigi Loves you so so much. You’ve brought so much joy into our lives. I’m also so very proud of you @tay and @madison_fiore – You’re wonderful first-time parents!” Pamela wrote in a comment underneath the February 11 video.

While Taylor and Hayley did not immediately speak out after their mother’s death, in her Instagram Stories, Hayley reposted a photo of her parents from 1996 and added a white heart emoji to the post.
