DIY Friday: Craft Egg Carton Flower Lights for a Pretty Mother’s Day Gift!
Happy DIY Friday! This week, Sophie Uliano ** stopped by Hallmark Channel’s hit daytime talk show Home & Family to demonstrate how to turn your recycled egg cartons into pretty **flower lights — the perfect Mother’s Day gift! Check out the instructions below.
Egg Carton Flower Lights
Materials:

Egg cartons (cardboard or styrofoam)
-
Acrylic craft paint
-
Sharp utility knife
-
Foam paintbrush
-
Hot glue gun
-
String of lights
Directions:

Cut your cartons in squares
-
Shape your flowers
-
Assemble lights
-
Once the paint has thoroughly dried, use the utility knife to cut a small X shaped slit in the bottom of your flower. This slit is where you insert the light bulbs
-
Insert one of the light bulbs through one of the flower just far enough that you can remove the bulb and change it if it burns out
