Drew Barrymore on Returning to Acting After Having Two Kids: “It’s Been Both Crazy and Exciting!”
After taking a few years off to raise her kids, Drew Barrymore is returning to acting in a very big way!
Following the births of her daughters — Olive, 3, and Frankie, 2 — the 41-year-old actress revealed she was taking a break from showbiz to focus on her family. But now, the former E.T. star is coming back to the small screen with a new Netflix comedy series, Santa Clarita Diet.

“[The new show] is crazy and exciting. I haven’t worked very much so that I could raise my children,” Drew recently told Hamptons Magazine. “It feels fresh to go back to something I’ve known for so long. It’s funny how you can make it new again.”
Drew’s acting hiatus also sadly included the demise of her four-year marriage to Will Kopelman. The former couple — who married in June 2012 — announced their divorce in April.
Santa Clarita Diet is set to premiere on Netflix in 2017.
