Eddie and Jamie Make Big Announcement During ‘Blue Bloods’ Series Finale and Fans Are Freaking Out
Blue Bloods fans could not be happier with how the series wrapped up its final season. Eddie Janko-Reagan and Jamie Reagan had some big news to share at the final family dinner in the show’s series finale.
When the dinner scene started, Eddie was not sitting at the table. Nicky asked where she went and Jamie said that Eddie just had to grab something from the car. Eddie ended up walking in with a high chair and placing it at the end of the table. She and Jamie then revealed they were expecting their first child together, due on June 13.
She said that she was 13 weeks pregnant. Henry asked how the couple were able to keep the pregnancy a secret for so long, and Jamie replied, “It wasn’t easy, Pop.”
“I’m just glad that you all know now because we’re going to need all of the parenting advice we can get,” the dad to be added.
They said they weren’t going to find out the sex of the baby. “I hope whichever it is, it has both of your good looks and brains,” Danny said.
The baby news came after multiple episodes of Jamie and Eddie talking about wanting to start a family together. Finally, fans got to see them celebrate their baby bliss!
“Awww i was hoping it ends with Eddie pregnant #BlueBloods,” one person wrote on X, while another said, “Eddie and Jamie having a baby?! Erin and Jack getting married again?! I’m so happy #BlueBloods #BlueBloodsFinale.”
It’s certainly a shame that it’s the final season of the show, as viewers would have loved watching Eddie and Jamie tackle parenthood.
Previously, Vanessa Ray, who portrayed Eddie, said that she wasn’t sure if the character would be the right fit for a spinoff but she was open to hearing potential spinoff options.

“I would do anything with these people. So, yes, of course,” she told TV Insider in an October 18 interview. “I don’t know what world it would make sense for Eddie to be in a spinoff at all. But if they need to put me in a wig and dye my eyebrows and I’ll play a different character just so I get to hang out with all of them more, then I’ll do it.”
She also recalled filming the final family dinner, in which her character revealed her pregnancy news.
“There was a lot of celebration. There was a lot of joy and laughter and just a sense of accomplishment for sure,” she recalled. “But it was absolutely heart wrenching to wrap that final family dinner. And we had some guests at the dinner, and so like I said, people had been giving speeches and stuff. And so one of our guest stars started us off just by thanking the show for what it has done for so many people. And that was really, really kind and nice to give us perspective of sometimes you do a show for so long or you are in [it], you’re around this table, you get so insular.”
