Eddie Murphy, 57, Is Expecting Baby No. 10, Second Child With Girlfriend Paige Butcher

He’s going to be a dad — again! Eddie Murphy, 57, and his girlfriend, Paige Butcher, 39, are expecting their second child together, their rep confirmed to People on Monday, Aug. 27. Paige also showed off her growing baby bump in LA last month.

“Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December,” the statement read. 

Although this is Eddie and Paige’s second bundle of joy (they welcomed daughter Izzy, 2, in May 2013), this is actually the Dr. Dolittle actor’s tenth child in total! The former Saturday Night Live cast member is also the proud dad to Bria, 28, Miles, 25, Shayne, 23, Zola, 18, and Bella, 16, with ex-wife Nicole Murphy. He also has son Christian, 27, with Tamara Hood, son Eric, 29, with Paulette McNeely and a daughter, Angel, 11, with Mel B.

Back in 2016, Eddie gushed about being a dad. “I really got lucky with my kids. There really isn’t a bad one in the bunch, everyone turned out to be really good people,” he once shared. “None of my kids are like me, and I’m sure parents say this all of the time, they are all totally different from each other. None of them are chips off the old block. They all have their own thing, They’re good kids.”

But just because Eddie has a lot of experience in the dad department doesn’t mean he’ll be doing chores when the baby arrives. In fact, he admitted after welcoming Izzy that he steers clear of diapers. “I don’t change diapers… ’cause I would be horrible at it, and that’s not fair to the child,” the comedian joked to Extra in a previous interview.
