Gwyneth Paltrow and Husband Brad Falchuk Make a Rare Appearance at the 2019 Emmys

Date night! Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Brad Falchuk, made a rare appearance on the 2019 Emmys red carpet, and the couple looked as sharp as ever. Gwyn, 46, looked regal in a vintage 1963 Valentino cream and black floor-length gown, while Brad, 48, looked dapper in a classic black-and-white tuxedo.

Their rare public outing came as Gwyn supported her hubby, who is an executive producer on the hit FX show Pose, which was nominated for a Best Drama Series award.

Gwyneth and Brad tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony in September 2018, in the Hamptons, but their first year of marriage was quite unconventional. In December 2018, Gwyneth revealed she and Brad lived in separate homes despite the fact that they were newlyweds.

“I’ve never been a stepmother before,” the actress told WSJ Magazine, and explained that the couple’s children from previous relationships were the reason they were hesitant to blend their households. “I don’t know how to do it … We are still doing it in our own way. With teenage kids, you’ve got to tread lightly. It’s pretty intense, the teenage thing.”

Gwyn is a mom to Apple, 15, and Moses, 13, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Coldplay rocker Chris Martin. Meanwhile, Brad is a dad to Isabella and Brody, from a previous marriage. But even though it seemed strange to most, Gwyn explained that there was nothing wrong with their living arrangement — which consisted of Brad spending three nights a week at his home and four nights a week at her house.

“Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal, and we shouldn’t change a thing,” Gwyn told The Sunday Times in June. She explained that her intimacy teacher, Michaela Boehm, approved because it gave their marriage “polarity.”

Last month, during an interview with InStyle Magazine, Gwyn revealed that they had a timeframe for their big move-in date and announced when they planned to begin to blend their families.

“Married life has been really good. We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle. And now we’re moving in together this month,” Gwyneth told InStyle in August. “I adore my husband. He’s brilliant and deeply kind. I feel like he’s a real equal too. And he pushes me in the best ways. I really like being married. It’s fun.”
