Felicity Huffman Is All Smiles While Attending Daughter Sophia’s High School Graduation Amid College Admissions Scandal

College admissions scandal, who? Felicity Huffman had zero cares in the world, or so it looked, while attending her daughter Sofia Macy‘s high school graduation on Tuesday, June 11. The Desperate Housewives alum was all smiles as she stepped out for the glorious celebration — just two weeks after she pleaded guilty for her alleged role in the country-wide college admissions scandal.

Felicity, 56, donned a super cute blue-and-white patterned, floor-length dress while she attended the 18-year-old’s graduation ceremony alongside husband William H. Macy and their other daughter, Georgia Macy, 17. The Emmy-winning actress and her family were spotted smiling, hugging, joking and laughing around with their friends while entering the ceremony at Los Angeles High School of the Arts.

Just last week, the Shameless actor was spotted purchasing balloons at a local store in Los Angeles. William exited the shopping center while carrying two large balloons that read “You did it!” and “Congrats Grad!” to mark the occasion. He was also spotted bringing a small yellow box to the car — perhaps a graduation gift?

The Macy family’s celebration comes just three months since their alleged involvement in the college cheating scandal was exposed, along with tens of other parents — including Fuller House star Lori Loughlin. On March 12, Felicity was taken by authorities after seven Federal Bureau of Investigation agents arrived with guns drawn and ordered to surrender, Us Weekly confirmed at the time.

According to court docs obtained by ABC News, Felicity “made a purported charitable contribution of $15,000 … to participate in the college entrance exam cheating scheme on behalf of her eldest daughter.” The court documents added that later on, she allegedly “made arrangements to pursue the scheme a second time, for her younger daughter, before deciding not to do so.”

In May, Felicity pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud after paying a large lump sum of money to a fake charity that facilitated cheating when her daughter took the SATs ahead of college. Us Weekly reports that the When They See Us actress faces a recommended four months in prison thanks to her deal with prosecutors, a year of supervised release and a whopping $20,000 fine. Her sentencing is scheduled for September 21.
