Ruling over England isn’t the only thing the royal family does well — they’re also great at taking photos! When they released Prince Louis‘ royal portrait in honor of his first birthday on Tuesday, April 23, he looked absolutely adorable. Seriously, look at him!

Kate Middleton dressed him in a cute blue sweater with a dog on it and brushed his hair to the side for the shoot. After she was done snapping pics of her son in a beautiful field of grass, she changed his outfit and put him in an even more adorable red sweater. Check out those pink cheeks!

Louis’ royal portrait was nothing less than what we had expected. That said, how does it compare to the snaps that Prince George and Princess Charlotte had on their first birthdays?

Prince Louis

Kate has turned out to be quite the royal baby photographer! The mom-of-three got her equipment out to shoot this great snap of Louis playing in the field and we can’t help but notice that he looks just like his older bro, George, when he was 1 year old.

Wearing two outfits in one day is not unusual for the royal family! If anything, it just shows how glamorous their royal lifestyle really is and that’s exactly what Kate conveyed when she took this precious snap of Louis. In this portrait, he looked directly at mommy and showed off that big smile we’ve come to know him for.

Prince George

Notice anything similar between Prince George and Prince Louis’ royal portraits? For starters, Kate dressed up both of her boys in a blue outfit and they both have the same chubby cheeks that you just want to pinch! They’re also sporting the same hairstyle and rock it quite well.

The only difference between Prince Louis and Prince George’s portraits was the different poses that they decided to do. Louis is adorably seen crawling on the ground while George is trying to find his balance and walk over to his parents. So cute!

Princess Charlotte

This adorable little tot was Princess Charlotte on her first birthday. Although Kate parted her hair the same way she did George and Louis’, she completed the hairstyle by adding a cute little blue bow into the mix.

Just like Louis, Charlotte had the time of her life playing outside with her family. Her photo is different than her siblings because she’s the only one wearing a cute pink outfit with a matching bow — but pulled a wardrobe change just like Louis, too. Nothing could ruin her fun on this special day!
