All eyes were on the 10-year-old actor when he snagged the coveted role of young Anakin Skywalker in the 1999 film. However, he stopped acting in 2001 due to relentless bullying from his classmates. In 2015, he was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase in South Carolina, and later, in 2016, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and moved to a psychiatric facility.

Aliens's Carrie Henn

She was just 10 years old when she was cast as Newt in the sci-fi classic. However, after appearing in the film, she decided to shift focus and pursue a career in education. Today she's 40 and teaches fourth grade in Northern California. In 2016, she joined the rest of the Aliens cast in celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Just 12 years old when he was cast as Indiana Jones' sidekick in 1984, Jonathan went on to appear in the cult classic Goonies and also appeared in small roles on TV in the U.S. and in Hong Kong. These days he mostly works as a stunt choreographer, his work appearing in films like X-Men and The One. He's 45.

Goonies' Jeff Cohen

Since playing the iconic role of "Chuck" in the popular 1985 film, Jeff appeared in several small TV roles before disappearing from Hollywood in 1991. After graduating from the UCLA School of Law in 2000, he became an entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles.

In a 2014 interview, he credits his movie connections for helping his career in entertainment law. "I get to go to the parties but I don’t have to audition,” he said.

Today, he's 42 years old.

Hook's Amber Scott

Although she snagged the role of Maggie in the hit 1991 film, starring alongside the late Robin Williams, Amber never appeared in anything else. Today, she's 31 years old.

Hook's Charlie Korsmo

Charlie had a flourishing career as a child actor, appearing in high profile films like Dick Tracy, Hook, and What About Bob?. However, after appearing in his final film role, Can't Hardly Wait, in 1998, Charlie retired from acting and shifted his focus to becoming a lawyer. He currently teaches law at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, OH. He's 38.

At the tender age of 10, Ross was already appearing in huge hits like The Little Rascals, Independence Day, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. His roles slowed down after 1996, and none of them were as prolific as his earlier roles. Today, he's 28 and sometimes makes music.

Problem Child's Michael Oliver

Michael was just 10-years-old when he appeared in the surprise hit Problem Child and its sequel. But after the buzz of the franchise died down, Michael retired from Hollywood and currently enjoys a quiet existence away from acting. In 2012, he reunited with Problem Child 2 costar Ivyann Schwan for a photoshoot to support the John Ritter Foundation.

Pet Sematary's Miko Hughes

Only three years old when he starred in the 1989 horror film, Miko went on to appear in Kindergarten Cop _, _Apollo 13, and also appeared in Full House. Although he's not a household name, he continues to work on a stream of projects, including voiceover work, and hasn't shown signs of slowing down. Today he's 30 and has three projects lined up for 2017.

Sleepless in Seattle's Ross Malinger

His role as Jonah in the 1993 film launched his career, and although he appeared in small roles throughout the '90s, none of them were as prolific as his debut. His last acting role was in 2006 on Without a Trace. Now 32, he's a general manger at Automotive Legends in Malibu, FL.

Adventures in Babysitting's Maia Brewton

After first appearing in Back to the Future as Marty's younger sister, she got her next biggest role in Adventures in Babysitting, playing the Thor-obsessed character Sara. Maia took a break from acting in 1993 to focus on school and then did theatre with a company in Santa Monica after she graduated from college. Today, she's 39 and appears in the comedy show Odd Mom Out.

The Neverending Story's Barret Oliver

The 9-year-old actor became a hot commodity after appearing in the hit 1984 film and would later star in three other high profile films before he retired in 1989 to focus on school. He shifted his career to photography, specializing in a technique called Woodburytype. In 2007, he published a book titled A History of the Woodburytype. Today, he's now 43 and teaches photography in California.
