As Expected, George Clooney and Amal Clooney Are the Perfect Parents to Twins Ella and Alexander

Not only are George Clooney and Amal Clooney one of the best-looking couples in Hollywood, but they’re also welcoming parenthood with open arms. The 39-year-old gave birth to their twins, Ella and Alexander, in early June — and life has been a dream for them ever since!

“[George] says he now understands what it means to have ‘your heart beating outside your chest,'” a friend revealed. “He is completely in love with his babies. He’s kind of like a wondrous person now. It’s lovely to see.”

The ER star never expected to become a dad at age 56, but now that he has, he can’t imagine his life any different. “All my friends who are my age, their kids are all grown up — and they are laughing,” George quipped. In a recent interview, the actor shared what it’s like being a new father. “Suddenly, you’re responsible for other people, which is terrifying,” he told The Associated Press. “I just have to clean the barf off of my tux. It used to be my barf but now it’s the twins’ barf. So it all works out.”

And George is being more of a perfectionist than he had imagined! “He thought he would be more easygoing, but the perfectionist in him has been coming through,” a friend of his said. “He wants to get everything right.”

And Amal? Oh, she’s a natural. “She doesn’t get rattled,” says a friend. “She’s very even-keeled.” As George previously put it, “She’s like an Olympic athlete. She’s doing so beautifully.”

Although photos of Ella and Alexander haven’t become totally available, turns out the siblings resemble their famous dad very much! “Both the babies look like George. Amal calls them her mini-Georges,” an insider said.

As far as the future with their perfect family-of-four, George plans to slow down his acting career to be there for the little ones and his lady. A friend reveals he’s happier than ever today: “He wouldn’t change a thing.”
