George Timothy Clooney was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, KY.

His parents are Nina Bruce Warren and Nick Clooney. George's mom was a beauty queen and city councilwoman. His father, Nick, is a former anchorman and game show host.

George has one sister, Adelia "Ada" Clooney. He is also an uncle to Ada's two kids, Nicholas and Allison.

During George's childhood, his family moved from Kentucky to Ohio. The Clooneys later returned to KY when George was in seventh grade.

George later attended Augusta High School in Augusta, KY.

In a previous interview, George revealed he played both baseball and basketball in high school.

He also earned all As and Bs in his high school classes!

After graduating from high school, George attended Northern Kentucky University where he studied broadcast journalism. He later transferred to University of Cincinnati but did not graduate.
