Gisele Bündchen Accidentally Received the Wrong Cake for Her 38th Birthday Party: “Sorry Alberto!”
Better luck next year! On Friday, July 20, Gisele Bündchen had a super funny surprise when she received the wrong birthday cake while celebrating turning 38 years old with her closest family and friends.
Just before Gisele’s husband, Tom Brady, was about to sing “Happy Birthday” to his wife, the model and mom-of-two took one look at the cake and knew it wasn’t meant for her. Taking to social media, Gisele shared the hilarious moment on her Instagram Stories hoping to solve the mystery of the missing birthday cake.
“Sorry Alberto! I think we got your cake! The question is, who got ours?” Gisele wrote over the pic of the chocolate frosted treat, adding, “Trocaram nosso bolo,” which means “they exchanged or switched our cake” in Portugese. Since Gisele went public about her birthday cake mix-up, she has yet to update her fans on if she ever found her own delicious treat.
Although she didn’t get the cake that she wanted, Gisele still had a great time at her party. In fact, her husband, Tom, celebrated the occasion by sharing a sweet pic of himself and his wife on Instagram looking more in love than ever. “Happy Birthday! What a great year it has been! We love you so much! Let me count the ways….❤️??” he captioned the pic.
This year, Tom and Gisele celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary together and next month they will most likely throw a party for Tom’s 41st birthday. If it’s anything like their 2009 wedding and Gisele’s recent birthday party, the celebration will be an intimate but fun affair!
Tom previously gushed to GQ about why he loves to have small parties. “The thing about it is, the day is for you. It’s nothing personal against anybody, but it’s not about them. It’s about what you and your wife need for that day,” he said. Hopefully Tom has learned his lesson about checking the writing on a birthday cake before bringing it home!
