Giuliana Rancic Reveals Her Son Duke Thinks She’s A Singer: “He Knows I Do Something On TV”
How cute! Giuliana Rancic is a journalist, TV host, reality star, author, and entrepreneur but her six-year-old son, Duke Rancic, isn’t totally sure what his mom does — and actually thinks she’s a singer!
“Someone asked him, ‘What does your mom do?’ He said, ‘Mommy is a singer!’ He knows I do something on TV. He’s not quite sure what!” Giuliana, 44, told Us Weekly in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now.
Though Giuliana has many jobs, her latest gig is a return to E! News on Sept. 4, three years after she previously left the network back in 2015. Though she’s super excited to co-host again with her close friend Jason Kennedy, the mom-of-one revealed in a previous interview that she recently chose to take a step back from her showbiz career to focus on her family.
“You know, never an easy decision, right? Especially when you love your career. But I had to do it. My priorities were a little out of whack for a while there. I was just working so much and if anyone knows my story, we struggled to have a child. We went through infertility, and it was a long process,” she said during an April appearance on The View.
“I made a deal with God that if you bless us one day with a child — I get emotional thinking about it — if you bless us one day with a child, I’m going to be there for him. So I pulled back from the career I love, and it was the best decision I ever made — to just be home and be a mom and not completely give up my career, but just switch things around a little bit,” Giuliana continued. “Put the focus on family, have the career still going, handle as much as I can — you know, just shift it a little bit. But make family the priority. That’s the most important thing in the world.”
