Patrick Dempsey and Kate Walsh Just Had an Epic ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Reunion (We’re Not Crying, You’re Crying)

What could be better than Derek Shepherd and Addison Montgomery back together again?! Patrick Dempsey and Kate Walsh had an epic Grey’s Anatomy reunion in a new commercial for insurance company Cigna — and we’re seriously so obsessed with seeing the former on-screen couple side-by-side one more time.

Cigna’s new TV campaign — which awesomely stars several TV doctors including Doogie Howser, M.D.‘s Neil Patrick Harris and Scrubs‘ Donald Faison — aims to promote yearly check-ups and preventative health care among its clients. But the best part of the commercial is definitely Patrick (who played Derek on Grey’s) reuniting with his television love Kate (who portrayed Addison). Watch the clip in the video below!

“Kate’s fun, and her comic timing is amazing,” Patrick 51, told People of reconciling with Kate, 49, to film the commercial. “We were always playful on set anyway, and then we would get serious, but this was fun just to be playful and to make each other laugh.”

Patrick and Kate were both original Grey’s Anatomy cast members when the show premiered on ABC back in 2005. Kate stayed on the hit medical drama for two years before exiting the series after Season 3. She then starred as Addison on the Grey’s spin-off Private Practice for six seasons from 2007 until 2013 while continuing to guest-star on Grey’s. Patrick was killed off of Grey’s Anatomy after 10 seasons in 2015, much to fans’ dismay!
