There Are New Interns on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ — Let’s Meet Them!
Remember the days when Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), George O’Malley (T.R. Knight), Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl), Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh), and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) were our favorite interns at Grey Sloan Memorial? Now that Grey’s Anatomy is already in Season 14, some newbies have joined the crew (we’re not going to lie, we’re kind of sad about it).
The new crew-of-six made their first appearance on the hit medical drama during the Oct. 12 episode and we’ve been going more deeply inside their characters every week since! Watch the video below to learn all about the new interns!
We first met them when they were with Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.). Remember when they were the ones who trained the original five? Those were great times.
There have been a few scenes where all six interns are together (we love how clueless and nervous they are all the time), however, we’re mostly getting to know two of them in particular: Jake Borelli and Jeanine Mason. Levi (played by Jake), better known as “glasses,” made his debut earlier this season when he had a one night stand with Jo Wilson (played by Camilla Luddington). It was a running joke in the hospital that Jo slept with the nerdy intern before she got back with Alex!
As far as Sam (played by Jeanine), we learn right away that she has what seems to be a complicated past with Andrew Deluca (played by Giacomo Gianniotti). The two apparently dated before becoming doctors and clearly things ended on bad terms because they were both super shocked and awkward when they ran into each other at the hospital. Although we don’t know much of their backstory (other than the fact that they had a bad breakup), the two have rekindled and often get together in the break room. We can’t wait to see where their relationship goes when the show returns for the second part of Season 14 in January!
