Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are in a ‘State of Sheer Delight’ Following Baby Archie’s Birth
Ever since Baby Archie made his arrival on May 6, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been over the moon about becoming parents. As the Duke of Sussex recently traveled overseas for the first time since welcoming their royal son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Sentebale Chairman Johnny Hornby opened up about his friend’s new dad glow.
“The two of them are just in a state of sheer delight over this birth,” Johnny dished of the couple to People as Harry, 34, traveled to Rome for a charity polo match for his organization, Sentebale. “You can tell what am incredible affinity he has for children.”
The organization’s chairman also dished how amazing it’s been to see Harry’s transition into fatherhood. “He is a magnet for children,” Johnny gushed. “I didn’t think he could have appreciated children more than he did before, but I have seen a whole new involvement with them now that he is a father.” Aww!
Also at the polo match organized by Sentebale — which Harry founded in 2006 to support orphans and vulnerable children affected by the HIV and AIDS epidemic in parts of Africa — was Argentine polo player and the duke’s longtime pal Nacho Figueras.
“Nacho met little Archie last week and said that the duke couldn’t take his eyes off of him — nor his hands,” Johnny added, explaining that he and his wife, Delfina Blaquier, traveled to Windsor to meet little Archie.

“The duke is the kind of father I always imagined he would be,” Nacho recently gushed to the outlet. “He has always had a great love for children and a great understanding of them. I noticed that becoming a father has influenced him and his dedication and love for the project is now stronger than ever.”
Nacho added, “The Duke is very happy with this stage of his life and I believe he is going to enjoy it very much.” Although Harry has only been a father for less than three weeks, Nacho insisted that he and Meghan, 37, couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter. “He seems to be very happy,” Nacho shared. “I think this is a very exciting part of his life. He was ready for it and he is loving it.”
