Mom Confessions!Hilaria Baldwin Reveals Daughter Carmen Once Wanted To Climb Into An NYC Trash Can
Let’s be honest, Hilaria Baldwin is practically a professional mom — which means she totally knows when to put her foot down! The author recently recalled a time when she had to stop her now five-year-old daughter, Carmen Baldwin, from wanting to climb into a trash can on an NYC street.
“She kept on screaming that she wanted me to let her climb into the trash,” the 34-year old told People of Carmen, who was two years old at the time. “And she was like, ‘You’re so mean! You’re a bad mommy! You won’t let me go in the trash!’”
“She screamed for a solid 40 minutes after that about how I was so mean I wouldn’t let her go into the Union Square trash,” the mom-of-four continued, adding that she’ll absolutely tell Carmen this story at her future wedding.
While Hilaria admitted that the situation would be “embarrassing no matter what,” her husband Alec Baldwin‘s fame made it even more awkward. “People look and I’m with my husband and they’re like, ‘Oh, of course. Of course, that’s their child,’” the yoga instructor explained. “Like, of course, we’re terrible parents.”
We’re sure Hilaria has faced many more tough mom moments since that particular incident, especially since she and Alec had three little boys after Carmen: Rafael, 3, Leonardo, 2, and Romeo, 6 months. During another recent interview, Hilaria also revealed that her family is so close-knit that her kids seem to be developing traits similar to her and her hubby.
“Alec and I are very, very different, but we’re similar in some ways,” she expressed to Hola! USA in October. “We’re both very dramatic; we’re very strong-willed; we’re kind of loud. I think that our kids, especially Carmen, are very much like us. With my husband, she likes to sit down and watch something. She has the capacity to be able to sit down and complete something — where I’ll do it if I have to, but I don’t want to.”
As if four kiddos weren’t enough to make her head spin, Hilaria and Alec are contemplating whether or not to add baby No. 5 into the mix! “I think about it a lot,” Hilaria said in an Instagram story posted earlier this fall. “When I’ll have a day that’s really hard with the kids and I’m like, ‘No more kids!’ And then I have a day where they’re like really cute like this and I’m like, ‘I could have another one.’ We’ll see.”
