Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford Reunite at NFL Game With Their Families: ‘Great Day’

Today’s Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford’s friendship is still going strong! The former colleagues met up for a fun-filled day at MetLife Stadium to see the New York Giants play the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, December 8.

Hoda, 60, shared photos from the NFL game on her Instagram account. She was joined by her eldest daughter, Haley, along with Kathie Lee, 71, and her son, Cody Gifford, his wife, Erika Gifford, and their two sons, Frank and Ford.

In her caption, Hoda wrote that it was a “great day.” Her Today cohost Savannah Guthrie wrote, “Best. Ever!” in the comments section of the post. Jenna Bush Hager commented with two red heart emojis underneath the photos.

“Love that the two of you are together with your kids & grandkids!” one person wrote under the post. “That’s great Hoda I hope you love your new home! It’s so close to mine. It’s great community!”

Hoda recently moved into a new home in the suburbs with Haley, 7, and her youngest daughter, Hope. The NBC favorite announced that she would officially be leaving Today in January 2025 to start a new chapter in her life with her kids. Her final broadcast is set for January 10.

“Looking back, the math is nuts … Because I’ll be working through the beginning of 2025, there’s plenty of time to talk about what’s ahead for all of us,” she said of her departure from the show. “But one thing I know for sure right now is this: everything’s going to be just fine. The Peacock’s feathers are never ruffled … No matter who comes or goes. Today and its amazing people — all of you — never waver.”

Kathie Lee shared a sweet message for Hoda when she announced her exit from the show, proving that their friendship will last a lifetime.

“Bittersweet news as my dear friend @hodakotb steps away from the Today Show. Her warmth, laughter, and incredible spirit have brightened our mornings and touched countless hearts. Here’s to new adventures!” the singer-songwriter wrote on X on September 27.

If anyone knows what it’s like to leave Today after gaining the love of millions of fans across the country for many years, it’s Kathie Lee. The grandmother of three left Today in 2019 and has kept busy with other projects ever since, including the release of her latest book, Herod and Mary: The True Story of the Tyrant King and the Mother of the Risen Savior, in July.

Ahead of the book’s release, she spoke about her inspiration behind the project.

“In 2012, I came back from my first rabbinical visit to Israel. Unless you’re truly studying what the word of God actually says, you’ll never have any comprehension of what it means,” she told Closer in July. “It changed my whole life. When I got home from that first trip, my son said, ‘Mom, why don’t you write books based on biblical history?’ I thought it was an amazing idea.”
