It’s Hoda Kotb’s 52nd Birthday — See Her Cutest Photos With BFF Kathie Lee Gifford!

Kathie Lee and Hoda first appeared on Today together on April 7, 2008.

Before joining the Today team, KLG hosted Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee alongside Regis Philbin for 15 years from 1985 until 2000.

Kathie Lee is also a successful singer, songwriter, comedian, and actress.

KLG is a mom to two kids — son Cody and daughter Cassidy — with her late husband, Frank Gifford.

Before joining the Today show, Hoda worked as Dateline NBC correspondent.

In 2010, Hoda won a Daytime Emmy Award for work on Today.

Hoda has also authored three books: Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer, and Kathie Lee (2010), Ten Years Later: Six People Who Faced Adversity and Transformed Their Lives (2013), and Where They Belong: The Best Decisions People Almost Never Made (2016).

Like her co-host KLG, Hoda is a mom, too! She adopted daughter Haley Joy in February 2017.

In addition to being Today co-hosts for nearly 10 years, Hoda and Kathie Lee are BFFs in real life too.

"Hoda has become Kathie Lee’s closest confidante, and they are each other’s support system," an insider once told Closer Weekly of their friendship.

"I think the friendship I have with her is so real," Hoda once said of KLG. "We’re really tight and I feel really, really, really, really blessed to be pals with her."

In another previous interview, Hoda opened up about the first time she met Kathie Lee. "I was at a restaurant with a friend of mine who’s a producer, and we were sitting and we go, 'Is that Kathie Lee? Oh my God,'" she said.

"We were like, 'Hey!' Totally fangirling," Hoda continued.

Hoda later got to work with KLG for the first time as a co-host on Today. "She showed up, her cleavage was out, she had hair pieces, fake hair, she’s in her tight, whatever, and she was awesome, like she killed it," Hoda said of Kathie Lee.

"She’s like TNT that shows up, right? Like she just explodes," Hoda said of Kathie Lee's energy. We love that they're truly BFFs!
