Hoda Kotb Reunites With Kathie Lee Gifford in California After ‘Today’ Exit: ‘Loyal Friends’
Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb are reunited, and it feels so good! The former Today cohosts both attended QVC’s Q50 Age of Possibility summit in Santa Monica, California, on Wednesday, May 14.
Kathie Lee, 71, documented their reunion in a video shared on Instagram from the event. “Guess who I found?” the Herod and Mary: The True Story of the Tyrant King and the Mother of the Risen Savior author said.
“Who?” Hoda, 60, replied to the camera playfully.
“Kelly Ripa,” Kathie Lee quipped, to which Hoda responded, “Oh my God, you’ve changed!”
The pair exchanged a laugh as they walked around the event hand in hand. “What brings you to this wonderful event in Santa Monica?” Kathie Lee asked Hoda.
“Well, mainly you. When anyone knows KLG is going to be somewhere, guess what they do? They show up!” Hoda said.
The two giggled as they spoke some more about the event while walking into the conference room.
QVC hosted the TikTok Super Brand Day at the Santa Monica Post Office in celebration of Year 2 of its Age of Possibility platform. In addition to Kathie Lee and Hoda attending the event full of exclusive deals and drops and specialized eight-hour programming, attendees also included new and returning Q50 ambassadors like Kathy Hilton, Jennie Garth and more.
The reunion between Kathie Lee and Hoda made everyone online very happy, with so many fans glad to see the two broadcasters together again.
“Love them together loyal friends … you need your tribe,” one person commented on the video, while another said, “Love seeing you two together!”

“Previous!! Sisterhood picks up right where it has left off,” another remarked. “Miles may change but hearts are eternal.”
Kathie Lee and Hoda hosted Today With Kathie Lee & Hoda for 11 years before Kathie Lee left the show in April 2019. The singer-songwriter decided to move to Nashville and has been largely focused on other projects, including music, writing books, spending time with her kids and grandkids and more.
Hoda left Today in January, with Kathie Lee surprising her on stage to celebrate her incredible run on the talk show.
“I love you so much that I was thinking to myself, ‘I sure hope Kath comes,” Hoda said when she saw her former colleague walk out onto the stage during the January 10 celebration. “I’m so happy that you’re here.”
Initially, Kathie Lee appeared virtually and pretended that she couldn’t make it in person. Hoda was thrilled that Kathie Lee was there in person after all.
“My problem is I fall in love, and I fell in love with Hoda,” Kathie Lee reflected. “And I said, ‘I don’t want to leave her.’ Every time I was with Hoda, the one thing I had in common with you and with Regis [Philbin] — two very, very different people — I look forward every single day to being with you both.”
Kathie Lee went on to say that Hoda is “sunshine in a bottle.” Since leaving Today, Hoda has been focused on making memories in her new home in the suburbs just outside of New York City. She lives with her two daughters, Haley, 8, and Hope, 5. Additionally, she’s got some big projects cooking up in the wellness space.
“I am starting a wellness app and company that will involve retreats and a podcast,” the mom of two said during a January 7 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “This is something that when you leave you’ll feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, I feel transformed. I feel different.’”
