Hoda Kotb Reunites With Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie After Emotional Final ‘Today’ Episode

Hoda Kotb is no longer a part of Today, but her friendships made on the show will last a lifetime. The TV host reunited with cohosts and friends Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager for a sweet outing together following her Today departure.

“I love Wednesdays!! @savannahguthrie @jennabhager. Also remember when you had that big goodbye party and now I am like…… HIIIIIIIIIIII!” Hoda, 60, captioned a photo with Savannah, 53, and Jenna, 43, on Instagram on Wednesday, January 22.

The trio sat at a booth in a restaurant in the snap with plates of food on the table in front of them. Fans were so happy to see the trio back together again and continuing their friendship outside of the Today studio.

“So excited you all are together,” one person commented underneath the post, while another said, “Love the friendship that you 3 share.”

“Miss you Hoda!! Mornings just aren’t the same!” another commenter penned, as another said, “This makes my heart so happy!!!! I wish I was sitting at the table with y’all! Friends for life.”

Dozens of others voiced their joy after seeing the pals reunite. In her Instagram Stories, Savannah also reposted the photo, writing, “Reunion.” Jenna also posted the same picture, writing, “Love these babes.”

Her final episode of Today was quite a warm send-off for Hoda, who was a part of the Today crew for 17 years before hanging up her hat. While the focus was on the broadcaster’s incredible career during the episode, she also shared some kind words for her Today costars, including Carson Daly, Al Roker, Savannah and Craig Melvin, the latter of whom was named as her replacement in the show’s early morning hours.

“Carson, you’re like the secret sauce on the show, man. Without you, the show doesn’t hum,” Hoda said. “Al, you’re my first friend here, the first person I met. When I got sick, you were the first person who walked into the room and said I was gonna be OK.”

“Savannah, oh, my God. You’re my person, you’re my person. You know who shows up for everybody? This girl. … She’s in the room, she’s always in the room, and I love you,” she continued. “Craig, I’m so happy for you. You’e earned this, you own this, and come Monday at 7 a.m., I am gonna be dead asleep. But you’re gonna be fantastic. You’re gonna bring it home. Craig, you’re gonna be so good. You and Savannah are gonna be magic.”

Hoda might not be seeing her former Today colleagues every day but a source tells Closer she plans on making Today cameos after leaving the show on January 10. She still remains part of the NBC family.

“Naturally saying goodbye is somewhat bittersweet because it’s end of an era for her, but she does feel ready for the change,” an insider told Closer earlier this week. “And it’s not like she’s burnt any bridges, the door will always be open for her, possibly even for the occasional cameo. Not that she’s got any intention of going back; she’s ready for this new chapter. That being said, she will miss the people a lot.”
