Hoda Kotb Shares Adorable Photo With Daughter Hope During Fun-Filled Outing: ‘My Little Girl’

Hoda Kotb had some mommy and me time with her youngest daughter, Hope! The Today host shared the cutest photo with her little girl on Thursday, December 12.

“Great day with my little girl!” she captioned the photo with Hope, 5, leaning on her shoulder while sitting in a theater. Hoda, 60, could not wipe the smile off of her face.

“How lovely!! Many more wonderful moments to come!! You will be missed!” one person wrote in a comment underneath the post.

Hoda, who also shares daughter Haley with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman, will be leaving Today on January 10.

“Understand the value of these moments, but I am so going to miss you in my mornings,” another said.

It’s going to be quite an emotional episode when Hoda takes her final bow as a Today host. But fans can expect some big surprises during her final broadcast.

“Her big concern right now is her last day, which is being planned as a huge party with special moments and surprise guests,” an insider told Closer on Thursday. “Hoda isn’t prepared; she knows it will be an emotional day, and there will be a lot of tears. It’s going to be a very bittersweet send-off.”

After 17 years on the program, the mom of two is ready to focus on motherhood and making lasting memories with her girls. In recent months, the family moved into a new home in the suburbs, and have already started to get acclimated with the area, making friends and getting invited to gatherings.

For Hoda, turning 60 made her realize that she was ready for change in her life.

“When I turned 60, something weird happened, man,” the Hope Is a Rainbow author said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 7. “I turned 60 and we had this beautiful party at the Today show and I looked out at the sea of all the people who came and beautiful signs and so many well wishes and I knew in my heart like, this is it, man. This is what the mountaintop must feel like. Like I’d never had that feeling before.”

She admitted that changing her schedule after leaving Today will take some adjusting, as she was so used to waking up early to travel to the studio each morning. Still, she’s ready to cook breakfast for them, and take them to do fun activities when she can.

“This is going to be totally weird,” she confessed. “I’ve woken up at this time for like 17 years. This is the first time, no alarm, click it off.”

But Hoda made sure to explain to her daughters that she will be around to see them off to school in the morning.

“I was telling them, ‘Mommy is going to be able to take you to school,’ and they go, ‘[Gasp] Wednesday?’ ‘No honey, not Wednesday.’ ‘Next week?’ I go, ‘No honey, not next week. Probably somewhere January, February,’” Hoda said. “They said, ‘January, February?’ I might as well continue working forever. For them it’s like till the end.”
