Star Trek fans can boldly go where no one has gone before as they bid on genuine artifacts from the legendary sci-fi franchise during Julien’s Auctions “Bid Long and Prosper” event. The sale, which is taking place on November 9 at Infinity Festival at the Aster in Hollywood (and online at juliensauctions.com) features an array of iconic costumes, props and memorabilia from all eras of the Star Trek universe.
Highlights include a 1966 hero Communicator prop used by William Shatner as Captain Kirk (estimated $100,000-$200,000), an original space suit worn by DeForest Kelley as Dr. Leonard McCoy (estimated $40,000-$60,000) and the USS Enterprise’s helm and navigation console (estimated $50,000-$70,000). Other items, such as a cast-signed photograph (estimated $300-$500) and a collection of 1960s fan club ephemera (estimated $100-$200), allow fans the chance to own a piece of Star Trek history at more down-to-earth prices.
