Hugh Jackman And Jake Gyllenhaal Pull Off Perfect Christmas Prank On Ryan Reynolds

Stars! — they’re jerks like us.

Even though they’re super rich and famous, Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal still find time to do things that us normal, non-rich folks do. You know, like pull pranks on your friends. And that’s exactly what Hugh and Jake did to Deadpool star, Ryan Reynolds. Ryan took it to his Instagram recently to show a couple of photos of himself wearing quite the ugly Christmas sweater after being told by Hugh and Jake it was a sweater party. The only problem? Ryan’s buddies lied. And this was the result:

“These f–king a–holes,” the 42-year-old actor said in the caption. The other photo shows Jake and Hugh exchanging a high-five as any successful pranksters would do. As if it couldn’t get worse for Ryan, his own wife, Blake Lively, gave the post an Instagram like.

Although Ryan shouldn’t feel so bad, as his Deadpool sequel reeled in over $300 million at the box office. Ryan can also soon be seen (heard?) as the voice of Detective Pikachu in Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. As for Hugh and Jake, Hugh can next be seen in Broadway 4D, since he of course loves to razzle and dazzle, and Jake just recently signed to play the villain Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home. So it’s pretty clear that all three of these actors are doing well enough to prank each other from time to time.

Ryan even has a history of duking it out with Hugh, as he once told Ellen DeGeneres, “It’s not really a rivalry; it’s a war.” Well that certainly sounds intense. One has to wonder what Ryan may have up his sleeve for Hugh and Jake. Perhaps this will turn into a Jimmy Kimmel/Matt Damon situation.
