Domestic Bliss! Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster Are ‘Making His New Place Their Own’ Amid Romance

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are thrilled to have gone public at long last. A source exclusively tells Closer that they’re in full-blown domestic bliss while setting up a home together in New York City.

“They’re making his new place their own. She’s keeping her place for when she’s got her daughter, but the rest of the time she’s with Hugh,” the insider says of the Deadpool & Wolverine actor, 56, and Broadway star Sutton, 49.

“They’re both so busy they have very little free time, so they want to maximize it by having a nice love nest to hide away in together. Hugh wants Sutton to feel at home. She has free reign to bring anything she wants over so that she’s comfortable,” the insider describes their household.

“The days they have off they usually stay home and order takeout. They’re at that stage where they’re happiest just the two of them. They go out for walks and grocery shop together, but otherwise they’d prefer to be at home than out having a fancy dinner with all eyes on them. They want their privacy,” the source explains about why the couple aren’t seen out on date nights more often.

“They’re really like two kids in love when they’re together. They’re all starry eyed and can’t keep their hands off each other,” the insider adds about the lovebirds.

After months of speculation, Hugh and Sutton made their romance official when they were spotted holding hands as they stepped out for dinner in Santa Monica, California, on January 6. Six days later, the couple was photographed kissing in a car while waiting in the drive-thru line at a Los Angeles In-N-Out restaurant on January 12.

The sightings came after Hugh and estranged wife Deborra-Lee Furness shocked fans with the announcement that they were separating after 27 years of marriage on September 15, 2024. The duo shares two adopted children: son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 19. Neither Hugh nor Deborra-Lee, 69, has filed for divorce as of February 13.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they said in a joint statement to People on September 15, 2024.

Five weeks later, Sutton pulled the plug on her marriage, filing for divorce on October 22, 2024, from Ted Griffin, her husband of 10 years. The duo share a daughter, Emily, whom the former couple welcomed via adoption in 2017.

Fellow Tony Award winners Hugh and Sutton grew close after starring together in a revival of Broadway’s The Music Man. The production ran from December 2021 to January 2023.

While New York City is home base for both Hugh and Sutton, the duo seemed to be eyeing a West Coast place of their own in mid-January during their trip to Los Angeles. They were spotted looking at several homes in Malibu as well as an empty plot of land.

“Moving in together is a huge step, but this appears to be the real deal. They’re totally in love,” a source exclusively told Closer at the time.
