So SadIman’s Mother Has Died Just Months After Her Husband David Bowie’s Death
Just months after Iman lost her beloved husband, David Bowie, the supermodel is now sadly mourning the death of her mother, Maryan Baadi.
The 60-year-old star announced the news via Instagram on Friday, April 1 by posting a sweet throwback picture of herself beside David, Maryan and her father, Mohamed Abdulmajid.

“Saddened by death of my mom, Maryan Baadi,” Iman wrote on the photo-sharing site. “May Allah grant her the highest jennah. I beg that you respect my family’s privacy during our time of grief.”
Iman’s late husband, David, previously died after an 18-month battle with liver cancer on Monday, Jan. 11 at age 69. The couple — who are parents to a 15-year-old daughter named Alexandria — married in 1992.
