‘Incredible Hulk’ Star Lou Ferrigno Lands In Hospital After Vaccination Goes Wrong

Lou Ferrigno spent most of the ’70s playing the legendary green monster in The Incredible Hulk but this week, a routine vaccination sadly sent him to the hospital.

According to Radar Online, the 67-year-old went to his local pharmacy in order to get a pneumonia shot. But the visit didn’t go as planned as the shot was allegedly administered incorrectly and his bicep blew up. Yes, you read that right. It blew up. Lou’s wife Carla Green told the outlet, “He came back from the pharmacy and his arm was really hurting and it just got worse and worse so he had to go to the hospital. She added, “They hooked him up to all sorts of drips and treated him and it went down. He’s out now, but it wasn’t a great experience.” Carla didn’t recall what exactly the doc diagnosed Lou with.

“He’s much better which is good because he’s going to be honored at a black-tie event in Hollywood tonight, we’re walking the red carpet,” Carla said. And even though Lou was feeling awful and was stuck in a hospital bed, he still was able to take a photo and update his fans on the situation. “Went in for a pneumonia shot and landed up here with fluid in my bicep,” the actor tweeted. “I’ll be ok but it’s important that you keep an eye on who’s giving the shot and make sure they not only swab the spot correctly but that you watch the needle come out of the package.”

That is some sound advice. While the world has seen many actors take on the role of the Hulk, these days Bruce Banner’s alter-ego is all computerized. When Lou was the Hulk, all that was needed was a bucket of green paint because Lou would flex and do the rest. Stay strong, Lou.
