Aww!Ireland Baldwin Gushes About Her “Beautiful” Mom Kim Basinger and It’s Too Cute!
What a cute mommy-daughter duo! In a super rare Instagram moment, Ireland Baldwin took a break from posting swimsuit shots to revel at the natural beauty that is her mother, Kim Basinger. And we’re loving every minute of the appreciative post!
“Rare moment alert,” Ireland, the 21-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, captioned the photo. “Momma Kim in the flesh. I have no idea how people are born this beautiful (sic).”

The burgeoning model usually sticks to posting her latest photo shoot pics or bikini snapshots of her lounging by the pool but occasionally shares snaps of her family life. Recently, Ireland Instagrammed a photo of her dad, 59-year-old actor Alec Baldwin, wearing minion goggles in a backyard.
Ireland, the only child of Alec and Kim, has long been the center of her parents’ less-than-amicable divorce. Though the former couple reunited to support Ireland back in 2015 when she entered rehab, the family has gotten more private in recent years.

Kim and Alec met in the early 90s on the set of the movie The Marrying Man. After three years of dating, the couple tied the knot and welcomed daughter Ireland in 1995. Things got tricky in 2001 when Basinger filed for divorce; the couple had no pre-nuptial agreement and fought for years over custody of Ireland. Both landed joint custody in 2002 but have been outspoken about the negative effect their messy divorce had on Ireland.
“Divorce is hard on a kid, no matter how you cut it,” Kim told The Edit. “And ours was very public and nasty. So I brought up Ireland in a very unconventional way. I just wanted her to be free. If she wanted to have her friends over and write over the walls with pen, that was fine. I wanted her childhood to be full of love and light and animals and friends.”

The divorce and custody agreements mandated that Alec attended anger therapy, parenting school, and could only talk to Ireland on the phone for 90 minutes per day.
Since her very public split with Ireland’s father, Kim has settled down with hair stylist Mitch Stone. The two sparked marriage rumors after leaving vacation in Hawaii both wearing gold bands but no wedding has been confirmed.
