Aww!James Van Der Beek Shares First Photo of Daughter Emilia on Her 1st Birthday

James Van Der Beek recently introduced the world to his baby daughter, Emilia, by posting the first-ever pic of his little girl via Instagram in honor of her first birthday on Thursday, March 23.

"One year ago today, I got to meet this sweet, determined, magical little soul. Just when I thought nobody could follow my other girls… along came Emilia. Never ceases to amaze me just how much a child can expand your heart. #OrHowIncredibleMyWifeIs #Blessed #Grateful," the 40-year-old actor captioned the pic of Emilia.

"She looks just like you!" one of James's 260K followers commented on the cute pic of Emilia with another adding, "She's so cute, I just want to hug her!"

James and his wife, business consultant Kimberly Brook, are also parents to three older kids: daughters Olivia, 6, and Annabel, 3, and son Joshua, 5. The couple previously tied the knot in August 2010, in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Kimberly also took to her Instagram page to wish her youngest daughter, Emilia, a happy first birthday. "A year ago today I met this beautiful baby angel who today became a toddler. Her zest for life, curiosity, independence, joy and determination captivate my heart every day. Emilia, I am overjoyed to be your Mommy! Thank you thank you for your gift of life," she wrote alongside a sweet photo of her baby girl.

Earlier this week, James similarly took to social media to wish his wife, Kimberly, a wonderful birthday. "Happy Birthday to my angel on earth… a beautiful soul who brightens the world of everybody lucky enough to have her float through their orbit. I love you!" the actor captioned a pic of the two.

In a previous interview, the Dawson's Creek star candidly opened up about being a father. "It’s a lot of work. With one [child], you get a lot more downtime. With two, downtime becomes a thing of the past. It’s the best. I love it!" he said.
