Matt LeBlanc Speaks out on Jennifer Aniston’s Split From Justin Theroux
They’ll always be Friends. Jennifer Aniston‘s co-star on the hit ’90s sitcom, Matt LeBlanc, spoke out about the actress’ recent split from Justin Theroux and gave fans some reassuring news.
“I haven’t spoken to Jennifer about it but I’m sure she’s doing OK right now,” the actor shared with The Sun. “She’s a big girl.”
The couple announced their separation on Feb. 15 after Life & Style reported that they were at their breaking point. “In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship,” Jen and Justin said in a statement at the time. “Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly. Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative. Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another.”
Their relationship became strained with Justin living in NYC and Jen in LA. “Jen saw the signs coming,” a friend of hers told the news outlet. “They were apart for a solid month before her birthday [on Feb. 11] and it was pretty much radio silence between them.”
Justin then told her that he wouldn’t be around to celebrate her 49th birthday this year (which she ended up spending with friends). “Jen’s heart sank and she cried,” the friend added. “When they hung up, she felt like he’d already checked out of their relationship.”
And now that Jen and Justin are going there separate ways, In Touch reports that she’s back together with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. “Brad and Jen are spending more and more time together,” a family friend shared with the news outlet. “Those close to the pair wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve even had secret sleepovers.” We guess Matt is right — Jen seems to be doing just fine!
