Jennifer Garner Allegedly Doesn’t Want Her Kids Around Ex Ben Affleck’s Girlfriend Lindsay Shookus

Well, this is awkward. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck announced their split after 10 years of marriage in June of 2015, but there’s still a little bit of drama between the couple. The latest? The actress doesn’t want their three kids together around Ben’s girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus. 

“Jen doesn’t want the kids around Lindsay or having her in their lives. She has many reasons,” a source told Us Weekly of their two daughters, Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and son, Samuel, 5. “Ben understands and has honored her request.”

That’s the beauty of their divorce — they’re able to communicate and co-parent well. “They’re good friends,” the insider added. “She wants him to be honest and he usually is. She tends to find out about things, and Ben is very open with her. They both want what’s best for the kids and have made a commitment to see that through.”

In fact, Ben has similar feelings to Jen on the matter. Jen is currently single as far as we know, but when she does meet a man, her ex-hubby has preferences. “He doesn’t want his kids around some loser,” a source previously told In Touch. “He definitely doesn’t want to fix her up with another actor. He wants someone who’s solid.”

Even though Jen has been single for three years now, she’s allegedly “in a good place” today. “She’s very happy and in a good place,” another insider recently told Us Weekly. “Jen’s always been very optimistic and has a glass half-full attitude even during the roughest of times. You rarely see her without a smile on her face.”

On top of that, she really values being a mommy to her three children. The source added, “She’s always taking the kids different places and looking for fun things to do with them.” So sweet!
