The future is looking bright for Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend, John Miller. The two have been an item for almost a year and the actress absolutely adores the fact that he doesn’t work in show business.
“They’re doing great,” a source told Us Weekly as an update about the usually private couple. “[Jennifer] loves that he’s not in the entertainment industry and is just a simple guy.” The relationship away from the limelight has been great for the actress mentally and physically.
“Jen’s in the best shape of her life and it’s wonderful that she’s got a guy who loves being physically active and is in super shape, too,” a source dished to Life & Style on March 18. “One of the big turn-offs with Ben toward the end of the marriage was how inactive he was,” the insider admitted. “He let himself go and lacked motivation, but Jen and John are doing everything from pumping iron to Taekwondo to biking and hiking.”
The 13 Going on 30 star was famously married to Ben Affleck for 13 years before finalizing their divorce in August after being separated for three years. They share three children — Violet, 13, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 7.
Things are looking up for Jennifer and her new beau. News of their relationship broke in November and a separate source told Us Weekly in December that the couple was “very much in love” and “stronger than ever.”
A month later, people close to the pair were starting to hear wedding bells. “No one would be surprised if they got engaged by summer. John has discussed marrying Jen,” an insider said to Us Weekly at the time. The informant added that the Elektra actress “admires John because he is just normal.”
Back when Jen and her new man starting seeing each other, her friends offered up a few pieces of advice. “They told her, avoid talking about Ben Affleck, don’t spend all night discussing the kids and most importantly, no more mom jeans!” a source told Life & Style magazine. “They just want Jen to let loose and get back in touch with her sexy side. Fortunately, John likes the whole Jen package.”
